Rachel Hunt

RACHEL is a High-Honors freshman at Wilmington High School. She started dance at the age of 2 with Debi’s Dance Studio in Wilmington. In 2006 she moved to The North Reading School of Ballet where she studies a variety of styles of dance including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, and Lyrical. In past summers she has trained at The Gold School’s summer intensive Mind, Body and Soul and the Jeannette Neill’s Powered by Dance summer intensive.  Rachel has been a part of the North Reading School of Ballet’s competitive team since 2010. Since joining the competitive team, she has placed in the top ten regionally and nationally for solos and duos, as well as earning special “Judge’s Awards” for her movement quality and stage presence. She has also been awarded scholarships towards regionals and nationals and The Hollywood Summer Tour where she spent a week in California training with top choreographers like Vincent Paterson and Cati Jean. Rachel has been a part of The Albany Berkshire Ballet’s annual production of The Nutcracker since she was 6, dancing in a variety of roles including Reindeer, Mini Mouse, Party Child, Pointe Angel, and in 2011 she earned the lead role as Clara. Rachel’s passion is Contemporary and Ballet but she also enjoys Jazz, Lyrical, and Pointe. Rachel’s goal is to dance professionally after college and then go on to open a dance studio of her own to share her passion for dance with the world.
